Do areolas get bigger during pregnancy?

I'm in my second trimester now, and I've noticed some changes in my body. Specifically, my areolas seem to have gotten much bigger and darker. Is this normal during pregnancy?

Yes, this is completely normal as your body prepares for breastfeeding. Don't worry about these physical changes right now. Just focus on staying active with simple morning walks if your doctor says it is safe for you.

Hey, don't stress over this! It is a very standard physiological change during pregnancy. Just make sure you invest in a comfortable, cotton maternity bra that offers good support without being too tight.

Haan didi, bilkul bade hote hain aur rang bhi thoda dark ho jata hai. Yeh toh bhagwan ka tarika hai bache ko feeding ke liye guide karne ka. Isme sharmaiye mat, bilkul normal baat hai.

Yes, they absolutely do get larger and darker. My gynecologist explained that this happens due to hormonal surges of estrogen and progesterone, which prepare the mammary glands for nursing. It also helps the newborn locate the breast easily.

I was actually wondering about this too because everything is so new to me. Does the color also change along with the size, or is it just the size that changes? I'm a bit shy to ask my family.
