Do apples cause weight gain?

I'm really trying to watch my calorie intake and lose some weight. I eat a lot of apples as a healthy snack, but my friend said fruits have a lot of sugar and can cause weight gain. Can eating apples actually lead to weight gain?

When I consulted a senior clinical nutritionist at Fortis, she told me that apples are very high in fiber and water, making them excellent for weight management. Unless you eat ten of them a day, they won't cause weight gain.

If apples caused weight gain, doctors would be out of business, haha! Seriously, nobody ever got fat from eating too many apples. Go ahead and enjoy your fruit.

An average apple is just 80-90 calories and packed with fiber. Pairing an apple with a quick 30-minute evening walk is a great way to stay in a calorie deficit and maintain your fitness goals.

They definitely don't cause weight gain. They have a low glycemic index, so they don't spike your blood sugar like other processed snacks do. Keep them in your daily diet.

Apples are a great source of pectin, a natural soluble fiber that helps digestion. Just make sure you eat them raw with the skin on instead of drinking apple juice, which loses all fiber and has concentrated sugar.

I always keep an apple in my bag for office hunger. It prevents me from ordering samosas or tea time snacks, so it actually helps me manage my weight practically.

Buying local apples is a very budget-friendly way to get your daily fiber compared to buying expensive imported berries or fancy diet snacks. It keeps your stomach full and your grocery bills low.

Oh god, don't stress too much about fruits, yaar! Apples are super light and healthy. You can easily eat one or two daily without any fear of gaining weight.

I'm just starting to plan my diet and was told fruits have too much sugar. Is it okay to eat apples at night, or should we only eat them in the morning to avoid weight gain?

Not at all! They are actually a dieter's best friend. Eat them as a mid-meal snack to keep those junk cravings away.

I can only share from my personal diet change last year. I started eating one red apple every afternoon instead of biscuits, and I actually ended up losing weight, not gaining it.
