Do antidepressants cause hair loss?

I've been on antidepressants for a few months now, and I've noticed more hair fall recently. My hair feels thinner than before. Could there be a connection between taking antidepressants and experiencing hair loss? It's making me quite self-conscious.

I ignored severe hair fall while taking my antidepressants, thinking it was just stress, but it turned out to be a thyroid issue triggered around the same time. Please get a proper blood checkup done to find the real cause instead of guessing.

Our bodies sometimes react to deep emotional changes and medications by shedding hair. Stay positive, keep your mind calm, and let your body adapt; this phase will pass and your hair will recover.

Yes, some antidepressants can trigger a temporary shedding phase called telogen effluvium. It usually starts a few months after beginning the medication. Track your daily nutrition and speak to your dermatologist if it persists.

I completely understand how stressful hair fall can be. While some medications can cause temporary shedding, applying warm coconut oil gently and eating soaked almonds daily really helped nourish my scalp during my recovery.

Haan na, thoda hair fall toh ho jata hai kuch medicines se. Par tension mat lo, mental peace jyada important hai. Aap doctor se baat karke doses adjust karwa sakte ho.
