Do all cancer patients lose hair?

My aunt was recently diagnosed with cancer, and she's about to start treatment. She's really worried about losing her hair. Does every single person undergoing cancer treatment lose their hair, or does it depend on the type of treatment?

It is such a scary thing to think about. But actually, it depends entirely on the type of chemotherapy they get, as some drugs don't cause hair loss at all. Sending lots of strength to whoever is facing this.

My cousin went through cancer treatment and did not lose a single strand of hair because his medicine was different. Don't let fear of hair loss worry you too much, treatments have advanced a lot.

Don't listen to generic advice on social media about cancer side effects. Every patient's protocol is completely unique, so only trust what your treating oncologist tells you.

No, not all patients lose hair. It depends on the specific treatment plan, chemotherapy drugs, or radiation target area. The oncologist is the best person to clarify this for a specific case.
