De quervain syndrome pregnancy?

In my second trimester, I've lately developed a lot of pain and swelling around my thumb and wrist, especially when I lift things. My friend mentioned something called De Quervain syndrome. Is this a common issue during pregnancy?

This thumb and wrist pain is very common in pregnancy due to fluid retention. Eating a low-sodium, anti-inflammatory vegetarian diet with plenty of water can help reduce the swelling, but do consult your gynaecologist.

Oh, the classic 'mommy's wrist'! It is super common during pregnancy due to hormonal changes. Using a simple wrist brace and doing light ice packs will help you feel much better!

I panicked so much when my wrist started hurting badly during my third trimester, thinking it was permanent nerve damage. It turned out to be De Quervain's and it completely resolved a few weeks after delivery, so don't worry.

I was reading about this wrist pain and got so worried that I wouldn't be able to hold the baby properly. If you are feeling anxious too, maybe wear a thumb splint to keep it supported and talk to your doctor to stay safe.

Pregnancy mein wrist pain bahut bada headache ban jata hai, haan na. Thoda garm paani se sek lijiye aur doctor se ek baar simple exercises seekh lijiye.

Don't stress over this, it is just pregnancy hormones causing fluid to build up around your wrist tendons. Try to rest your hand as much as possible and avoid lifting heavy things. It will get better, I promise.

I cried so many times because the wrist pain made it hard to even hold my newborn baby. It is emotionally exhausting to feel this limited, but please hang in there—using a splint and getting physical therapy helped me recover.

Since fluid retention triggers this pain, and gestational diabetes can make nerve issues worse, please keep your blood sugar tightly monitored. Avoid high-sugar foods that can increase inflammation in the body.

While De Quervain's is common in pregnancy, any severe pain or numbness should be evaluated by your obstetrician or an orthopaedic doctor to ensure it is not carpal tunnel syndrome.

Do not try random exercises or massage techniques shown on the internet during pregnancy, as you might worsen the tendon inflammation. Only use a brace or do stretches recommended by a certified physiotherapist.
