Could lightheadedness be a sign of pregnancy?

My period is a little late, and for the past few days, I've been feeling quite lightheaded, especially when I stand up quickly. Could this lightheadedness be one of the early signs of pregnancy? I'm really anxious to know.

Yes, hormonal changes can cause your blood vessels to dilate, dropping your blood pressure and making you feel dizzy. Be sure to eat small, regular meals to keep your blood sugar stable, as low sugar can also make lightheadedness worse.

I've been feeling so dizzy and lightheaded since yesterday, and my period is due in three days. Did anyone else experience this as their very first symptom before getting a positive test? I'm so nervous!

It can indeed be an early sign as your body is working hard. Try drinking some lemon water with a pinch of salt and sugar to instantly balance your hydration. Take plenty of rest and don't stand for too long.

Please don't ignore constant dizziness. I brushed off my lightheadedness as simple fatigue, but it was actually severe anemia during early pregnancy. Go to a clinic and get a complete blood count and a pregnancy test done soon.

According to my gynecologist, lightheadedness is quite common in the first trimester because the progesterone hormone relaxes blood vessels, causing blood to pool in the legs. She advised me to stand up slowly and keep myself well hydrated.

Hormonal shifts can definitely cause mild lightheadedness early on. If your doctor gives you the green light, keeping up with a gentle daily walk can really help improve blood circulation and reduce that sluggish, dizzy feeling.
