Could blood pregnancy test be wrong?
A blood test for pregnancy came back negative for me, but my period is still late and I'm feeling very tired. Can a blood pregnancy test ever be wrong, or is it usually 100% accurate?

I totally get it, waiting for results can make you question everything. While blood tests are extremely accurate because they detect even tiny amounts of hCG, lab errors or testing too early can sometimes cause confusion. Hang in there and talk to your doctor if you feel the result is wrong.
Actually blood tests are super reliable compared to those home urine kits, yaar. But lab mix-ups do happen occasionally. If your periods are delayed and you still feel pregnant, just get it done again from a different lab.
Generally, blood tests are very precise, unlike urine tests which can get affected by hydration. Just like managing my HbA1c, I trust lab reports but always verify with my doctor if the symptoms and numbers don't seem to match.
I just went through this last month! My blood test came back negative but my period was two weeks late. It turned out it was just a hormonal delay due to stress, and the test was actually correct. It's best to wait a few days and get a doctor's opinion.

The blood test is highly scientific and rarely wrong, but stress can do strange things to our cycle and minds. Try to sit quietly and do some gentle pranayama to calm your nerves while you wait to consult your doctor.
