Can you vape during pregnancy?

I've been trying to quit smoking for a while and switched to vaping before I found out I was pregnant. Now I'm really concerned about the baby. Is it safe to continue vaping, even without nicotine, during pregnancy?

Vaping during pregnancy is a big no and can lead to expensive complications later on. Think about the high costs of neonatal ICU care and extra doctor visits if the baby has health issues. Better to stop completely now and save that money for the baby's future expenses.

Please don't do it. I struggled with nicotine addiction when I got pregnant and my doctor explained that even vape aerosols contain chemicals that harm the baby's developing brain and lungs. I quit cold turkey for my baby's safety, and honestly, the relief of delivering a healthy child was worth every difficult day.

According to most health tracking apps and medical data, vaping is just as risky as regular smoking during pregnancy because of the nicotine transfer. If you are struggling to quit, there are some great habit-tracking apps that can help you log your cravings and stay clean. Definitely discuss quitting strategies with your doctor.

Look, with a baby on the way, you're already going to lose all your sleep anyway, so don't add health anxiety to the mix by vaping. Those chemicals are absolutely not good for the little one. Toss the vape in the dustbin and start practicing sleeping while you still can!

Do not let any online influencer tell you that vaping is a 'safer' alternative to smoking while pregnant. Nicotine is highly toxic to a developing fetus, period. Check with your OB-GYN immediately to get professional help on how to quit safely.

I know how stressful pregnancy can be, and how hard it is when you use vaping to cope with your anxiety. It is okay to feel overwhelmed, but please try to find other ways to relax for the baby's sake. You are not alone in this struggle, and seeking help is the best thing you can do right now.
