Can you use monistat during pregnancy?

I think I might have a yeast infection, and I've used Monistat before to treat it. Now that I'm pregnant, I'm not sure if it's safe to use. Is Monistat an acceptable treatment option during pregnancy?

Yes, my gynecologist told me it is safe during pregnancy. But please ask your doctor once before using it just to be absolutely sure.

Beta, in our days we used to avoid all these english medicines as much as possible. It is better to talk to your doctor before applying any cream now. Also try wearing loose cotton clothes and drink lots of water to stay clean and dry.

Honestly, don't just rely on online forums for pregnancy queries. Even if people say it's fine, every body is different. Better to take a quick call with your gynaecologist and confirm.

I had a terrible yeast infection in my second trimester and was so scared. My doc said Monistat is totally fine, but suggested the 7-day cream instead of the quick 1-day dose because it's gentler. Do check with your doctor first, okay?

With my PCOS, I already have so many hormonal imbalances, so I am always super careful about any meds, especially during pregnancy. I've read it's generally safe, but I wouldn't take a chance without a doctor's nod. Better safe than sorry!

My wife went through this and her doctor said yes to Monistat, but also told her to cut down on sweet treats since sugar can feed yeast. She found that so hard because of her late-night ice cream cravings! Definitely ask your doc before starting.
