Can you use lube during pregnancy?

My husband and I are finding intimacy a bit challenging lately during my pregnancy. We've considered using lubricant. Just wanted to ask if using personal lubricant is safe during pregnancy, or if there are any specific types to avoid?

I am in my second trimester and getting so worried about using any chemical products down there. Is it really completely safe for the baby, or does anyone else also feel anxious about the ingredients?

During my wife's pregnancy, we checked with her doctor who recommended using a simple, water-based, fragrance-free lubricant. We used it throughout without any irritation or issues at all.

I completely understand why you'd be worried about this because we want to be so careful with our bodies during this time. Rest assured, water-based lubes are totally safe, but definitely avoid flavored ones to prevent any vaginal irritation.

Yes, absolutely! The baby is packed safely in a high-security amniotic sac, so a little lube isn't going to disturb their peace. Just avoid the fancy warming or tingling ones unless you want unplanned fireworks!

It is totally fine to use lube! Pregnancy hormones can sometimes cause a lot of dryness, making intimacy uncomfortable. Just look for organic, water-based ones that don't have parabens or glycerin to avoid yeast infections.
