Can you use hemorrhoid cream during pregnancy?

Since my third trimester started, I've developed hemorrhoids, and they are quite uncomfortable. I have some cream at home that I used before, but I want to make sure it's safe to apply during pregnancy. Could it be harmful?

Yes, but you can't just pick any random cream from the chemist. Some have steroids that aren't recommended during pregnancy. Get your gynecologist to write a safe prescription, it takes two minutes.

I faced this exact issue last month during my eighth month. My doctor prescribed a specific mild soothing cream and told me to increase my fiber intake. It worked wonders, so please consult your doctor for a safe brand.

My wife had terrible piles pain during her third trimester. She was scared to use anything, but the doctor gave her a safe cream that helped her sit comfortably. Definitely don't suffer in silence, just ask your doc.

In our family, we usually try sitz baths with warm water first for relief. I also asked my doctor about creams, and she gave me a safe, non-steroid ointment. Always run it by your doctor before using any medical creams.

Please be very careful because some hemorrhoid creams contain ingredients that can affect blood pressure. I had pregnancy complications and was strictly told not to use any OTC creams without checking. Do consult your doctor first.

Instead of buying expensive creams that might not even be safe, a simple consultation with your regular government hospital or clinic doctor is the best approach. They will prescribe a very affordable and pregnancy-safe ointment.
