Can you take zoloft during pregnancy?

I'm planning to get pregnant soon, but I'm currently on Zoloft for anxiety. I'm wondering if it's safe to continue Zoloft throughout pregnancy or if I should look for alternatives. What's the general advice on taking Zoloft during pregnancy?

Dealing with hormonal shifts and mental health is so tricky, especially when trying to conceive or during pregnancy. Since I have PCOS, I am always extra careful about any pill I pop. Zoloft is an antidepressant, so you absolutely must discuss it with your psychiatrist and gynaecologist together to weigh the benefits.

Listen, this is not a paracetamol or home remedy thing that you can ask on the internet. Zoloft is a serious prescription medicine for anxiety and depression. Go straight to your doctor, tell them you are pregnant, and let them decide the safe dosage.

Managing mental health during pregnancy is very crucial, and sometimes medicine is necessary. Along with whatever your doctor advises about Zoloft, see if you can incorporate gentle 20-minute evening walks. Fresh air and light movement really do wonders for your mood, provided your doctor has given you the go-ahead.

Hey, take a deep breath. It is completely okay to need support for your mental health during pregnancy, so please don't feel guilty about it. Just schedule an appointment with your doctor and have an honest chat about your current prescription so they can guide you safely.

During such delicate times, our nervous system needs deep rest. While you must follow your doctor's exact prescription regarding Zoloft, you can also practice light Anulom Vilom pranayama for 10 minutes daily. It brings a lot of natural peace and calms the racing mind very gently.

Please don't worry or take stress about this. Many women have healthy babies while managing their anxiety, but it must be done under strict medical supervision. Just take care of your health and talk to your doctor soon.

For normal mood swings, we usually suggest keeping chamomile tea or badam milk, but clinical anxiety or depression is different. Since you are pregnant, please do not experiment with any chemical medicines on your own. Consult your doctor immediately to know what is safe for the baby.
