Can you take pregnancy test while bleeding?

I've been experiencing some light spotting, almost like a period, but it's unusual for me. Can I still take a pregnancy test while I'm bleeding like this? I'm worried it might affect the result.

Yes, you can take the test while bleeding because the kit detects hormones in the urine, not blood. However, if you are pregnant and experiencing bleeding, please avoid any heavy exercise or walking, and consult your doctor immediately to make sure everything is safe.

My daughter went through this exact scare last year. She took the test while spotting and it was positive, but we immediately rushed her to the doctor because bleeding during pregnancy needs instant attention. Please take the test to be sure, but see a doctor immediately if it is positive.

The test only measures the hCG hormone in your urine, so bleeding won't change the chemical reaction on the strip. But my health tracker always alerts me that bleeding during a suspected pregnancy is a critical symptom. Please log your symptoms and consult your ob-gyn right away.

Actually, bleeding doesn't affect the urine test results, yaar. But if the test comes positive and you are still bleeding, please don't sit at home. Go to a hospital and get it checked by a doc immediately.

Please be very careful with this. I had severe bleeding early in my pregnancy which turned out to be a major complication. You can definitely take the test now, but if it is positive and you are bleeding, you must go to a hospital emergency room immediately.
