Can you take mylanta during pregnancy?

In my third trimester, the heartburn has become really bad lately, especially at night. My mother-in-law suggested Mylanta. I just wanted to confirm if Mylanta is safe to take to relieve heartburn during pregnancy, or are there better options?

Do not rely on online forums or random people's advice for pregnancy safety. Some antacids contain ingredients that can affect your body's fluid balance. Only take what your gynecologist prescribes.

When I was pregnant, my thyroid levels were fluctuating and I had bad acidity too. My doctor monitored my blood tests closely and suggested specific antacids that wouldn't interfere with my thyroid dose. Always get your doctor's go-ahead.

Omg, the pregnancy heartburn is real! I had it so bad in my third trimester. My doctor told me some liquid antacids are okay, but sleeping with my head elevated and eating smaller meals actually helped me more.

Please be cautious. I had severe reflux during my second pregnancy, and taking over-the-counter antacids without asking led to digestion issues later. Please let your doctor prescribe the safest option for your baby.

Pregnancy acidity is the worst! 🤰 Some liquid antacids are usually safe, but check with your doctor once to be 100% sure. Try having some cold milk too, it works wonders! 🥛✨

Many pregnant women experience severe acidity due to hormonal changes. While mild magnesium-based antacids are often allowed, it is crucial to avoid any calcium-heavy ones if you take iron supplements. Check with your clinic.

Don't worry, acidity is very common during this phase. Just don't take any medicines on your own right now. Give your gynecologist a quick call, they will guide you with the safest syrup for you and the baby.

My bhabhi had this issue last month and her doctor prescribed a mild syrup. Better not to take anything directly over the counter without a proper prescription.

I can only share my own experience. My doctor allowed me to take standard liquid antacids occasionally during my second trimester, but told me not to use them daily. Definitely talk to your gynac about your specific case.
