Can you take flonase during pregnancy?

I'm pregnant and have been suffering from severe nasal congestion due to allergies lately. I usually use Flonase, which is a nasal spray. Can you take Flonase during pregnancy, or should I avoid it?

It is generally considered safe, but please check with your doctor before using any nasal spray during pregnancy.

Hey, I totally get how annoying pregnancy congestion is on top of everything else! Flonase is usually fine, but maybe try using a simple saline nasal spray first. It is completely natural, drug-free, and might give you some quick relief.

When my wife was pregnant, we consulted the senior OB-GYN at Max Hospital. She told us to always ask before using any steroid sprays like Flonase. Just drop a quick message to your doctor to be 100% sure about the safety.

I had terrible allergies during my pregnancy last year and my doctor personally allowed me to use Flonase daily. It was a lifesaver for my blocked nose, but everyone's body is different so do check with yours.

My doctor told me that Flonase is a localized corticosteroid, meaning very little of it actually enters your bloodstream. It is usually considered one of the safer options for pregnancy rhinitis, but she still advised me to use the lowest dose possible for a short duration.

I totally panicked when I accidentally used my regular Flonase in my first trimester. But my gynaecologist reassured me it is perfectly normal and commonly used for severe allergies during pregnancy. Just talk to your doctor once to ease your mind.

Pregnancy turns your body into a science experiment, doesn't it? Don't worry, nasal sprays are usually fine since they stay in your nose and don't travel much, but do run it by your doc so they don't scold you later!
