Can you take a pregnancy test at 2 weeks?

My husband and I are hoping to start a family, and I think I might be around two weeks pregnant based on my last period. I'm very excited. Is it possible to get an accurate result if you take a pregnancy test at 2 weeks?

If you mean 2 weeks after intercourse, then yes, you can definitely test now as the hCG levels should be high enough to detect. Just keep up with your healthy routine and test with the first morning urine for accuracy.

My wife's mother always suggested waiting for a full month's cycle before checking anything. But medically, 2 weeks after conception is the correct time to take a home test. If you get a faint line, consult your doctor for a confirmation blood test.

I was so nervous at the 2-week mark! If you mean 2 weeks from conception, a test will definitely show a result. If it's only 2 weeks since your last period started, it's too early because ovulation just happened. Hope you get peace of mind soon.

Yes, at 2 weeks post-conception, which is around your missed period date, the home test kits are very reliable. I did the same with both my kids and got clear results. Use the morning's first urine.

Yes, 2 weeks after ovulation is usually the time your period is due, so a home test should be quite accurate. Make sure you don't drink too much water before the test so the sample stays concentrated.
