Can you smoke weed pregnancy first trimester?

I just found out I'm pregnant, and it's in the first trimester. Before I knew, I did occasionally smoke weed socially. Now I'm very worried. Does smoking weed in the first trimester of pregnancy have serious risks for the baby?

I had a very difficult journey conceiving with my PCOS, so I am always extra cautious. The first trimester is when the baby's vital organs are forming, and weed can seriously impact brain development. It is best to avoid it completely for safety.

Managing a pregnancy is stressful enough without adding these complications. The first three months are very delicate, so please don't smoke anything. Stick to simple ginger tea for the vomiting and get some sleep.

Do not listen to people online saying weed is natural so it's safe during pregnancy. It is absolutely not safe for a developing fetus. Go talk to a qualified gynaecologist and get proper medical guidance.

I totally get it, the first trimester nausea and anxiety can be absolutely brutal to handle. But please try to avoid weed right now as it can affect the baby's birth weight and development. Talk to your gynac, she can give you safe anti-nausea meds.

I was looking up studies on this and researchers say THC crosses the placenta easily and reaches the fetus. Even if some people say it helps with morning sickness, the medical consensus is that it's highly risky for the baby.
