Can you smoke weed after surgery for pain?

I'm recovering from a minor surgery and dealing with some post-operative pain. A friend suggested smoking weed for pain relief, saying it's more 'natural' than painkillers. Is it really safe to smoke weed after surgery, or could it cause complications?

For mild pain, things like turmeric milk or warm compresses help, but post-surgery pain is serious. Smoking anything can interfere with your anesthesia or slow down wound healing. Please consult your surgeon before taking anything extra.

My back hurts just getting out of bed, but after a major surgery, you should not be experimenting. Smoking might mess up with the painkillers the doctor already gave you. Better to just lie down quietly and follow the hospital's chart.

Smoking lowers oxygen levels in your blood, which you desperately need for muscle and tissue repair after surgery. Focus on a clean protein-rich diet and hydration to heal faster instead of using smoke to block the pain.

Actually yaar, don't do it. Smoking after surgery can cause coughing, which can rip open your stitches, especially if it was an abdominal surgery. Plus, it reacts badly with prescription meds. Talk to your doc instead.

If the pain is too much to handle, call your hospital or visit the doctor who did the surgery. They can easily adjust your medicine dosage safely. Doing self-medication like smoking weed can lead to unwanted complications and extra hospital bills.

These modern habits are very risky, especially when the body is weak after an operation. It is best to take light home-cooked food like khichdi and rest. Do not consume anything that is not officially prescribed by your operating doctor.
