Can you sleep with a knee support?

My knees bother me a lot, especially at night when I'm trying to sleep. I wear a knee support during the day for comfort, but I'm not sure if it's good to sleep with it on. Is it advisable to sleep with a knee support, or should I take it off?

Bro, don't stress too much about it. Unless your ortho told you to wear it 24/7, just take it off and sleep peacefully. Wearing tight elastic sleeves all night might just end up itching and messing with your sleep anyway.

I always believe in keeping my diet clean and rich in calcium to strengthen my bones naturally. For knee sleeves or supports, keeping them on all night is usually not recommended because it can constrict your skin and muscles. Better to use them only when walking or working.

I researched this extensively when I had my patellar issue. My physical therapist clearly explained that sleeping with a tight knee sleeve can cause fluid accumulation and skin irritation. They advised using a pillow under the knees for elevation instead of wearing any sleeve to bed.

I completely understand how stressful it is when your knee hurts and you're scared of making it worse overnight. I used to feel the same anxiety. But keeping a tight support on while sleeping isn't usually safe for blood circulation, so please check with a professional to ease your mind.

Been there, done that. I had a gym injury last year and slept with my knee sleeve on the first night. Woke up with a numb foot because it choked the circulation. Take it off before hitting the bed, trust me, it's not worth it.

Honestly, I tried sleeping with my knee support after a bad fall during college sports, and it was so annoying. It kept sliding down and bunching up under my knee. It is honestly way more comfortable to just prop your leg on a soft pillow while sleeping.

Hi there! I would suggest keeping it off at night so your skin can breathe easily. 🌸 If you feel unstable, maybe try a thin, loose crepe bandage instead, but definitely check with your doc first! Sleep tight! ✨
