Can you see knee arthritis in an x ray?

My knee pain has been getting worse lately, especially when I walk or climb stairs. The doctor suggested an X-ray, and I'm wondering if that will clearly show if it's arthritis or something else. I really hope we can figure out what's causing this stiffness.

Yes, they can see the reduced gap between the joints. Since I manage diabetes, keeping my weight and diet in check is crucial to reduce pressure on my knees, but the x-ray is what confirmed my joint wear.

Yes, an x-ray shows it clearly. Don't ignore joint pain; I delayed going to the doctor and my knee damage got much worse. Please get a proper orthopedician's advice early.

Yes, knee arthritis shows up on an x-ray. I have joint aches sometimes due to my PCOS inflammation, so I always consult a professional for proper diagnostics rather than guessing.

Yes, an x-ray easily shows bone spurs and joint space narrowing. If your doctor allows, doing low-impact walking and strengthening your quadriceps can really help manage the discomfort.

Yes, it shows bone changes very well. Just like I get regular blood tests for my thyroid levels, getting an annual x-ray of the knees helps my doctor monitor how the joint wear is progressing.

Yes, you can. A simple knee x-ray is very affordable, costing around 300 to 500 rupees in most local labs, and is the best first step before going for expensive MRI scans.
