Can you reuse a pregnancy test?

My friend gave me some pregnancy tests she didn't use, and I was wondering if they are like normal things we can reuse. It sounds silly, but I just want to confirm. Is it at all possible to reuse a pregnancy test kit?

I totally get it, waiting to know can make you so anxious. But sadly, you cannot reuse a test kit because the chemical strip inside works only once. Please get a new one for an accurate result.

Hey, don't stress too much! No, you can't reuse those home test kits, once they are wet they won't work again. Just run to the local chemist and grab a couple of fresh ones, they are super cheap.

My gynaecologist explained that the hCG-binding antibodies on the strip react with urine only once. Re-using a dried-up test strip will give you a false negative or invalid result every single time.

No, those kits are strictly single-use only. Keep your stress levels low, stick to your usual healthy diet, and just buy a fresh kit from the pharmacy to get a reliable result.

Please don't try to reuse old kits, as an incorrect result might delay important medical care. If you are getting confusing results, it is best to visit a clinic and get a beta-hCG blood test done for complete safety.
