Can you have pcos without facial hair?

Diagnosed with PCOS, I know that excessive facial hair is a common symptom for many women with this condition. However, I don't really have any noticeable facial hair growth myself. Can someone have PCOS without experiencing this particular symptom?

Yaar, you can actually have PCOS without any facial hair at all. My sister has it and her skin is totally clear, but she has irregular periods and insulin issues. It depends on how your body reacts to the hormones, so don't assume you don't have it just because there is no facial hair.

Please do not ignore other symptoms like skipped periods or sudden weight gain just because you don't have facial hair. I made that mistake and delayed my diagnosis, which later caused severe complications with my fertility. Go get a proper ultrasound and hormonal checkup from a specialist.

Facial hair, or hirsutism, is just one of many possible symptoms of PCOS, not a mandatory one. Plenty of women with PCOS have normal hair growth but struggle with cystic ovaries or metabolic issues. Stop self-diagnosing based on visual symptoms and get your blood work evaluated by a doctor.

Yes, you can definitely have PCOS without facial hair. If you are experiencing irregular cycles, do not waste time waiting for other symptoms to appear. Schedule an appointment with a gynecologist, get the blood panels done over the weekend, and get a clear picture.

I ignored my irregular periods for three years because my skin was smooth and I had no facial hair, and I regret it so much now because my insulin resistance got much worse. Do not wait for extreme symptoms to show up. Get yourself checked by a proper doctor before things get complicated.

Hormonal imbalances are very silent and don't always show up as facial hair. I deal with thyroid issues and always make sure to do my routine blood tests every six months. If you suspect any hormonal imbalance, follow up with your doctor regularly and get your internal levels tested.
