Can you get ovarian cysts during pregnancy?

I'm about five months pregnant and just had my routine check-up. The doctor mentioned seeing a small cyst during the ultrasound, which wasn't there before. Is it possible to develop ovarian cysts during pregnancy?

Yes, you can. I had a large cyst that twisted during my second trimester, which was very painful and required close monitoring. Please make sure to get regular ultrasounds and follow your doctor's advice carefully.

As if pregnancy itself isn't enough work for the body, yes, cysts can also pop up! Most are harmless corpus luteum cysts that go away on their own, so don't lose sleep over them.

Haan na, pregnancy me cyst hona actually normal hai early months me. Mere friend ko bhi tha par doctor ne bola automatically dissolve ho jayega, so tension mat lo.

Practically speaking, many women develop functional cysts in the first trimester to support the pregnancy. They usually shrink by week 16, but your doctor will keep an eye on them during routine scans.

Yes, they are quite common in early pregnancy. I tried warm compresses for mild discomfort, but since you are pregnant, please don't take any herbal remedies without asking your gynecologist first.

My elder sister had this during her pregnancy last year. She was super stressed, but the doctor said it is very common and it just vanished by her fifth month scan.

Yes, you can get them. I ignored a sharp pain on my left side during early pregnancy, thinking it was just stretching pains, and it was a cyst. Please get any persistent pelvic pain checked immediately.
