Can you get hepatitis b from food?

There's a lot of street food around here, and sometimes I worry about hygiene. I wanted to ask if it's possible to catch hepatitis B just by eating contaminated food? Or is it spread differently?

No, Hepatitis B is not spread through food or water, unlike Hepatitis A. It spreads through blood and body fluids. Since managing my BP, I have learned how important it is to keep our facts straight and get regular health checkups rather than worrying about the wrong things.

No, Hepatitis B does not spread through food or sharing utensils. It is only transmitted through infected blood, needles, or sexual contact.

My grandmother always said to eat hot, fresh home-cooked food for general health, but medically, Hepatitis B is not foodborne. My doctor also confirmed that it is transmitted through blood-to-blood contact and intimate contact, so you don't need to worry about catching it from meals.

I used to get so anxious eating outside, thinking I could get all kinds of hepatitis from the utensils. But I researched and found out only Hepatitis A and E spread through food. Hepatitis B is strictly through blood or intimate fluids, so that is one less thing to worry about!

Great news! You absolutely cannot get Hepatitis B from food or water. It only spreads through blood and bodily fluids. So you can enjoy your favorite restaurant dishes without any worry of catching this specific virus.
