Can you drink peppermint tea during pregnancy?

In my second trimester, I sometimes get indigestion or feel a bit nauseous. A friend recommended peppermint tea for relief. I just wanted to make sure if it's safe to drink peppermint tea regularly while pregnant, or if there are any contraindications.

I drank peppermint tea occasionally during my pregnancy to ease bloating, but since I have a thyroid condition, I always checked with my doctor first. It's safe in moderation, but regular health checkups and blood tests are key to keeping everything balanced when you are expecting. Do ask your gynac during your next visit.

During my time, we used to drink light herbal teas for stomach issues. Peppermint tea is very good for gas and nausea in pregnancy. Just make sure you don't drink too many cups in a day, one or two is more than enough for relief.

I had such terrible morning sickness and anxiety during my first trimester, and honestly, the smell of peppermint tea was the only thing that calmed my nerves. It is so tough when your body goes through this. A warm cup is usually very safe and soothing, so don't feel guilty about needing that comfort.

Peppermint tea is caffeine-free and generally considered safe in moderate amounts during pregnancy, helping with nausea and reflux. However, excessive consumption can sometimes trigger heartburn or affect uterine relaxation in rare cases. Your doctor's advice is best, so just mention it to them on your next checkup.

Haan na, peppermint tea actually helps so much with digestion! I used to have it after meals to avoid that heavy feeling. Just don't buy the ones with added artificial herbs, pure peppermint is safe ho na.
