Can you do laser hair removal with eczema?

I'm thinking of getting laser hair removal, but I have eczema on some parts of my body. Will it be okay to go for the treatment, or can you do laser hair removal with eczema without causing irritation or other issues?

If you have active eczema patches on the skin, do not go for laser hair removal there. It will irritate your skin even more and cause a bad flare-up. Let the eczema heal fully first, and definitely consult a proper dermatologist before booking any sessions.

Honestly, I barely have the energy to sleep for four hours, let alone think about laser hair removal. But from what I know, targeting laser on dry, itchy eczema skin sounds like a recipe for a sleepless, itchy nightmare. Ask a skin doc first!

I completely panicked when I had a mild eczema flare-up before my laser session! But my dermatologist reassured me that we can easily skip the active patches and treat the clear areas safely. Just inform your technician beforehand, it's very manageable.

I have eczema on my arms and was getting laser done for my shoulders. My dermatologist clearly said never to use laser on active, red, or peeling skin. Better to wait until that patch clears up completely.

I feel you, eczema makes every beauty treatment a bit scary! You can get laser done, but only on parts of your skin that are currently clear. Make sure to tell the clinic about your eczema so they can adjust the settings and avoid any irritated patches.

With diabetes, skin healing is already quite slow, and having eczema on top of that makes it trickier. Any skin treatment like laser needs extra caution because of the risk of infections. Please consult your physician and dermatologist before taking any step.
