Can you be pregnant and negative pregnancy test?

My period is over two weeks late, but I've taken two home pregnancy tests, and both came back negative. I'm feeling very confused and anxious. Is it possible to be pregnant and still get a negative pregnancy test result?

Yes, it happens more than you think, especially if you test too early or drink too much water before the test, which dilutes the hormone. High stress from heavy workouts can also delay periods and mess with tests. Keep your routine steady and maybe try testing again in a few days.

According to my cycle tracker app, testing too early is the most common reason for a false negative. The HCG hormone levels might not be high enough yet. Try tracking your ovulation properly and test again using your very first morning urine for the most accurate result.

I totally get it, the waiting and confusion can drive you absolutely crazy. Yes, false negatives can definitely happen if the test strip is faulty or if it's just too early in the pregnancy. Try to stay calm and take a deep breath; you will get through this.

I am in the exact same boat right now and my anxiety is through the roof! My period is five days late but the home kit shows a clear negative. Has anyone else experienced this and then found out they were actually pregnant after doing a doctor's blood test?

Drinking warm ginger tea can help soothe your nerves, but it won't give you answers. If your period is delayed by more than a week and you still get a negative home test, it is best to visit a gynecologist. They can do a simple Beta-HCG blood test which is 100% accurate.

Haan na, home test kits can be quite tricky sometimes. If the hormone levels are too low, it won't show up on the strip at all. It is always better to wait for 2-3 days and test again, or just go to a clinic to be absolutely sure.
