Can well water cause hair loss?

My hair has been falling out quite a bit lately, and I'm trying to figure out why. We use well water at home, and I've heard some people say hard water can affect hair. Can well water cause hair loss?

I was looking into this recently because my hair started shedding. Turns out, high mineral content in well water creates a barrier on the scalp, which blocks moisture and leads to breakage.

I faced severe hair fall when I moved to our farmhouse. The hard well water was the main culprit. I started using a hard water filter attachment for my shower and doing an apple cider vinegar rinse once a week, and it completely stopped.

Yes, well water is often very hard and full of minerals like calcium and magnesium, which buildup on the scalp and make hair dry and brittle. Don't worry, using a water softener or rinsing with drinking water will help solve this.

While hard well water is a common cause of dry hair, sudden heavy hair loss can also be due to nutritional deficiencies or hormonal changes. Please get a blood test done and consult a dermatologist for a proper checkup.

Kuan ka paani bhari hota hai, jis se baal jhadte hain. Iske liye baal dhone ke liye thoda sa saaf filter ka paani istemal karein, aur hafte mein ek baar dahi aur amla lagayein.
