Can vitamin b12 deficiency be a sign of cancer?

My vitamin B12 levels have been consistently low, and my doctor is investigating the cause. I read somewhere that a persistent deficiency could be a sign of something more serious. Can vitamin B12 deficiency be a sign of cancer?

I recently recovered from a very low B12 level and had the exact same scary thought. In most cases, especially if you are vegetarian, it's just a dietary issue. Don't let your mind jump to cancer, just take the supplements your doctor prescribes.

Bhai, don't worry too much. Mostly we Indians don't get enough B12 in our simple vegetarian diet, that's why it gets low. Just eat milk products and ask your local doctor for a small tablet.

Please don't panic, a B12 deficiency is extremely common and rarely linked to cancer. Just consult your doctor for a simple supplement plan.

I was super scared when my B12 was low, but my doctor laughed and said almost every second person in India has this deficiency. It is highly unlikely to be cancer. Just get your levels checked and follow your doctor's advice.

Haan yaar, internet pe toh har cheez ka link cancer dikha dete hain na! Faltu me tension mat lo. Mostly humare vegetarian khane me B12 kam hota hai, bas doctor se checkup kara lo.

Look, jumping straight to cancer is a massive stretch. While some stomach cancers can affect B12 absorption, 99% of the time it is just poor diet or simple malabsorption. Get a doctor's opinion instead of self-diagnosing.

Suno, Google search karna band karo pehle. B12 deficiency is very common, and thinking it's cancer is just unnecessary stress. Go see a proper doctor, get some supplements, and move on with your life.
