Can utis be a sign of pregnancy?

I've been having frequent urination and some abdominal discomfort, and my period is also delayed. My friend jokingly said that maybe it's pregnancy symptoms, or a UTI could also mimic them. Can UTIs sometimes be an early sign of pregnancy?

Whenever my wife has any health doubts, we prefer visiting a reputable hospital like Max or Fortis to get a proper checkup. A UTI itself isn't a direct sign of pregnancy, though hormonal changes in pregnancy can make you more prone to them. Please ask your doctor clearly and get a blood test done.

Beta, many women do get frequent UTIs during early pregnancy because of hormonal shifts and changes in the urinary tract. However, you cannot rely on a UTI to tell you if you are pregnant. Better to do a simple home pregnancy test first and consult your gynecologist.

Let's be real: a UTI is a bacterial infection, not a pregnancy symptom. Yes, being pregnant increases your risk of getting one, but you need an actual pregnancy test to know for sure. Go get a proper urine culture and consult your doctor.

Please don't assume a UTI is just a pregnancy symptom and delay treatment. I once ignored a painful UTI thinking it was just early pregnancy changes, and it turned into a severe kidney infection that required hospitalization. Go get a proper urine test and medical checkup right away.

Don't waste days guessing if it's pregnancy or a UTI. Book a urine routine and a beta-hCG blood test on any lab app; they will collect samples from your home tomorrow morning. Once you have the reports, consult a doctor online to save time.

At my age, a UTI is just a sign that I forgot to drink enough water, not that I'm expecting! Jokes aside, pregnancy can make women more susceptible to bladder infections, but a UTI alone is just an infection that needs medicine. Don't overthink it, see a doctor.

My daughter suffered from frequent UTIs when she was expecting her first child because of how the body changes. It is a very common issue, but it must be treated carefully with pregnancy-safe medicines. Please consult your doctor to ensure both you and the baby stay safe.

Man, if a painful burning sensation while peeing was a sign of pregnancy, then guys like me would be in trouble too! It's just a regular old bacterial infection. Get some antibiotics and sleep, don't stay up all night reading online forums.
