Can uterine fibroids cause hair loss?

I have uterine fibroids and lately, I've noticed a lot of hair shedding and thinning. I'm trying to figure out the cause. Can uterine fibroids actually lead to hair loss, or should I look into other reasons for my hair fall, like stress or diet?

Actually, heavy bleeding from fibroids causes severe anemia, which directly leads to hair fall. My ferritin levels dropped dangerously low because of this. Please consult your doctor for a blood test before trying any self-treatment.

Arre, jab sharir me khoon ki kami hoti hai tab baal jhadte hain. Fibroids me bleeding zyada hoti hai na, wahi wajah hai. Aap thoda dhyan rakho, accha khao aur doctor didi ko dikha lo ek baar.

I can only speak from my own experience, but I had crazy hair fall when my fibroids were active. My doctor found out I was highly anemic because of the heavy periods. Once I took iron supplements, my hair health slowly returned.

Uterine fibroids themselves don't directly target hair follicles, but the chronic blood loss leads to iron deficiency anemia, which is a major cause of hair thinning. A balanced medical approach with your gynecologist is the best way to handle this.

Haan na, heavy periods ki wajah se weak lagta hai aur baal bhi bohot jhadte hain. It's all connected actually. Doctor se checkup karwa lo, nutrition levels check karna zaroori hai.

I panicked so much thinking I was going bald and linked it to some permanent issue. But my doctor assured me it's just telogen effluvium from the physical stress and low iron. Once the fibroid was managed, my hair grew back normally.

You can try having amla juice and curry leaves daily to support your hair, but honestly, if the fibroids are causing heavy bleeding, home remedies won't fix the root cause. Please see a doctor to get your iron levels and hormones checked properly.

Don't trust random hair oils or internet remedies claiming to cure hair fall from fibroids. Hair loss is a complex issue and needs proper medical diagnosis. Go to a gynac and get your thyroid and iron tested first.

My wife faced this actually, yaar. She was losing clumps of hair and we didn't connect it to her fibroids initially. Turns out her iron levels were super low because of the heavy flow. Definitely get her blood work done.

For vegetarians, getting enough iron and B12 is already a challenge, and fibroid bleeding makes it worse, causing hair loss. Try incorporating beetroot, spinach, and pomegranate into your daily diet, but do consult your doctor for proper supplements.

Wait, is this really common? I have been losing so much hair lately and I also have diagnosed fibroids, but I never connected the two. Did anyone else here see a major improvement in hair fall after getting their fibroids treated?

I totally get it, losing hair on top of dealing with fibroid pain is so frustrating and stressful. It really takes a toll on your confidence. Just hang in there, get your doctor to check your iron, and it will get better once treated.
