Can use vicks during pregnancy?

I'm pregnant and have a terrible cold right now, with a blocked nose. I usually use Vicks VapoRub for relief, but I'm unsure if it's safe to use during pregnancy. Can I use Vicks, or should I avoid it completely until the baby is born?

Yes, applying a little Vicks on your chest or forehead is generally safe during pregnancy. Practicing gentle pranayama and inhaling warm steam with just a pinch of salt can also ease your congestion beautifully without any worry.

Yes child, using a tiny bit of Vicks for external relief is perfectly fine. Don't worry, keep a positive mind and drink warm water to soothe your throat.

Applying Vicks on your throat or forehead is safe, but don't swallow it or put it inside your nose. For congestion, steam inhalation with just plain warm water or a little ginger-tulsi tea is a much safer and soothing option.

External application of Vicks is generally considered safe during pregnancy, but always use it sparingly. Since our bodies are extra sensitive during this time, just double-check with your gynecologist during your next visit.

I panicked so much when I used Vicks during my first trimester, thinking I harmed the baby! But my gynecologist completely reassured me that applying it on the chest or forehead is 100% fine. Don't worry at all.

Hey dear, don't stress too much! Yes, you can totally use Vicks externally for headache or blocked nose, it's absolutely safe. Just avoid putting it in steam inhalers directly as it can sometimes be too strong.
