Can u do a dna test during pregnancy?

My cousin recently mentioned something about genetic screening during pregnancy. I was wondering if it's possible to do a DNA test while pregnant, and what exactly it checks for. Is it a common thing now?

Yes, you can do non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT) which is just a simple blood test from the mother. I am thinking of getting it done next week but I'm so nervous about the results. Did anyone else feel super anxious during this test?

Yes, modern doctors recommend NIPT because it is safe for the baby. During my wife's pregnancy, we were managing her high blood pressure and had to go for regular checkups, where the doctor advised this test. Definitely consult your gynecologist about it.

Yes, absolutely! You can easily get a safe NIPT blood test done after the 10th week to check on the baby's health. Don't stress too much about it, just talk to your doctor and they will guide you through the process easily.

Yes, prenatal DNA tests like NIPT are common now, but some invasive methods carry minor risks. You should always discuss the safety aspect thoroughly with your gynecologist before choosing any test. Never go to random diagnostic centers without a prescription.

Haan na, actually doctors blood test se hi baby ka DNA check kar lete hain pregnancy mein. It is completely safe and common nowadays. Ek baar doctor se baat karke prescription le lo, ho na?

Yes, it is possible. Due to complications in my previous pregnancy, our doctor advised a specialized NIPT test to check for chromosomal issues safely. Please consult your obstetrician directly to understand which test is right and safe for your situation.
