Can turmeric cause liver damage?

My mother takes a lot of turmeric, almost every day, for various health reasons. Recently, I read some reports online suggesting that high doses of turmeric might harm the liver. Can turmeric actually cause liver damage?

I just started taking haldi capsules for my skin. I didn't know it could affect the liver. How do I know if my liver is getting affected? Should I stop taking them?

Ordinary culinary turmeric used in our daily curries is perfectly safe. The risk of liver toxicity lies with high-potency curcumin supplements, especially those with added black pepper extract. If you are taking those, please monitor your liver enzymes.

Man, I am too tired to worry about kitchen spices ruining my liver now. Honestly, normal haldi is fine, but don't eat those high-dose capsules like they are chocolates. Go sleep instead of googling these things at 2 AM!

I manage my BP with regular walks and quarterly blood checkups. My doctor told me to stay away from herbal extracts of turmeric, as they can interact with medications and elevate liver enzymes. Always better to do routine LFT tests.

Listen to me, don't worry. Your daily home-cooked food is not going to damage your liver. Just make sure you aren't consuming any fancy herbal pills without a proper prescription. Take care of yourself.

Don't overcomplicate it. The turmeric in your daily dal and sabzi is healthy and harmless. Just avoid over-the-counter curcumin supplements unless specifically prescribed by a gastroenterologist. Saves time and health risks.

Instead of relying on heavy turmeric pills for fat loss or inflammation, focus on 30 minutes of brisk walking and a balanced diet. High-dose supplements can sometimes stress your liver, whereas simple exercise is completely safe.
