Can tudca cause liver damage?

I started taking TUDCA supplements to support my liver health after reading about it. But then I heard from someone that certain liver supplements can sometimes do more harm than good. Could TUDCA potentially cause liver damage instead of helping?

I was looking into TUDCA for my own liver health and PCOS issues recently. Actually, it is usually used to protect the liver, but taking too much of anything without a doctor's guidance can backfire. Better to get your liver enzymes tested before starting it.

I totally panicked when I first read about TUDCA side effects on some online forums. But when I spoke to my hepatologist, he reassured me that it actually helps bile flow and doesn't cause damage when prescribed properly. Just don't self-medicate and you will be fine.

Bhai, maine suna hai ki yeh dawa liver ke liye achhi hoti hai. Lekin bina doctor se pooche aisi cheezein nahi khani chahiye. Agar aapko pet me dard ya koi takleef hai toh pehle bade hospital me checkup kara lo.

I just finished a course of TUDCA last month after my liver enzymes shot up. It actually brought my SGOT/SGPT levels down quite beautifully. It didn't cause any damage, but my doctor was monitoring my blood reports every two weeks.

Dekho, simple baat hai. TUDCA liver support supplement hai, damage karne ke liye nahi hai. But agar aap pehle se koi liver ki badi bimar se jhujh rahe ho, toh doctor se pooch kar hi dose fix karo. Mann se kuch bhi mat khao.

Though I prefer natural things like amla and bhumi amla for the liver, TUDCA is a proper bile acid. It is meant to protect, not damage. Still, chemical supplements should only be taken if a doctor recommends them after your blood test.

I read somewhere that high doses of bile acids can sometimes stress the liver if there is an active blockage. I get so paranoid reading these things. Honestly, just ask a specialist to write down the exact dose so you don't worry like me.
