Can tretinoin cause hair loss?

I started using Tretinoin recently for my skin, but I've also noticed a lot more hair shedding than usual. I'm wondering if the two are connected. Can Tretinoin actually lead to hair loss?

Normally, applying tretinoin on your face does not cause hair loss. But if you are using it near your hairline or taking oral retinoids, it might have some effect. I go to a highly rated hospital in Delhi, and they always suggest asking your dermatologist clearly before mixing treatments.

Honestly, I have been using tretinoin 0.05% for a year on my face and haven't lost any hair. Just make sure you don't rub it near your eyebrows or hairline. It only works where you apply it, so it won't affect your scalp.

I agree, it doesn't cause hair loss. Just avoid getting it too close to your eyes and brows to prevent irritation.

No, topical tretinoin does not cause hair loss. In fact, some studies show that when mixed with minoxidil, it actually helps with hair regrowth. Keep using it for your acne without worrying about going bald.

I track all my lifestyle changes and supplement intake on my health apps, and I never saw any link between topical tretinoin and hair thinning. If you are experiencing hair loss, check your daily stress levels or thyroid panels on your health tracker.
