Can transplanted hair fall out?

I just had a hair transplant a few months back. My friend told me that sometimes the transplanted hair can fall out. Is this true, and should I be worried about it?

Yes, they actually shed after a few weeks. My son panicked so much when his new hair started falling, but the doctor assured us it's just the temporary shedding phase. The real growth starts from the roots after a few months, so keep your patience.

Actually yaar, starting me to full shedding hoti hai. I got so scared when my transplanted hair started falling out. But that's just the old shafts dropping off, the roots stay safe inside. Just trust the process, it takes like 6 to 9 months to show real results.

Some shedding is totally normal in the first month, but if you are seeing heavy patchiness after six months, please get it checked. Don't try random serums on your own. It is always safer to let your transplant surgeon examine the scalp to ensure there is no infection or graft failure.

Haan na, starting me toh dukh hota hai dekh kar. When my brother went through this, he was also so stressed about the hair fall. But it is just a temporary phase. Thoda time do, check with your clinic once, sab normal ho jayega.

I am also thinking of getting this done soon but I'm really scared of the pain and shedding. Does the fallen hair always grow back? Please let me know how many months it took for your hair to look normal again.

I completely understand the anxiety you are going through right now. Watching that expensive hair fall out in the shower literally broke my heart and I felt so depressed. Please hold on, it is almost always just the shedding phase and things will get much better.

My doctor explained the science behind this clearly. He said the shock of the surgery puts the hair follicles into a resting phase, which causes the shaft to fall. But the follicle bulb is alive underneath, and it starts producing new hair from the third month onwards.
