Can too much vitamin'd cause kidney stones?

I've been taking Vitamin D supplements regularly for bone health, especially since my mother had osteoporosis. Recently, a friend mentioned that too much Vitamin D can lead to kidney stones. Is there any truth to this?

Yes, excess Vitamin D absorbs too much calcium in the body, which can easily deposit as kidney stones. While home remedies like barley water and lemon juice help flush out small stones, you must immediately stop taking high-dose vitamin capsules and consult a doctor.

Man, I popped those weekly 60k Vitamin D pills like chocolate for months because I was always tired. Turns out, too much of it can literally calcify your kidneys and cause painful stones. Now I am sleep-deprived from the back pain instead of work. Please check your levels before taking these.

Taking too much Vitamin D raises calcium levels in your blood, which puts extra stress on your kidneys and can increase blood pressure. It is very important to get a regular kidney function and vitamin panel done. Don't take supplements without a prescription.

In my 70 years, I have seen that modern vitamin supplements often bring more trouble than health if abused. Yes, high Vitamin D causes calcium build-up, leading to stones. Do not worry, just drink plenty of plain water, eat simple home food, and let your body heal naturally.

Hey, as someone who works closely with medicines, I always warn people about this. Vitamin D is fat-soluble, so excess doesn't wash out in urine and instead increases calcium absorption, causing kidney stones. Always check your actual blood levels before taking anything over 1000 IU.

Our bodies are beautiful self-regulating systems that thrive on balance. Taking too many synthetic vitamins can disrupt this harmony and stress the kidneys. Stay positive, drink lots of pure water, and consult a wise doctor to restore your body's inner peace.

With my thyroid condition, I have to get regular blood tests. Excess Vitamin D can create calcium overload, which is bad for kidneys. Please get your serum calcium and Vitamin D levels tested every few months to make sure your dose is correct and safe.

Managing my PCOS made me realize how sensitive our endocrine system is to vitamins. High Vitamin D can definitely cause calcium accumulation and lead to kidney stones. I'd highly suggest speaking to your gynecologist or general physician to adjust your supplements safely.

It is a proven fact that Vitamin D toxicity increases calcium absorption, directly leading to kidney stone formation. Many people take weekly capsules for months without checking. Please get a simple blood test and consult a doctor to modify your intake.

My doctor told me that my kidney stone was caused by the heavy calcium and Vitamin D supplements I was taking for a minor fracture. Once I stopped those tablets and increased my daily water intake, the issue was resolved. Please ask your doctor before continuing.

Bro, yes! I was taking Vitamin D daily because of my gym trainer's advice and ended up with a painful kidney stone. The doctor literally scolded me and told me to drink 4 liters of water and stop those pills. Never taking supplements blindly again.

Haan babuji, humare gaon mein bhi ek ne bahut saari Vitamin D ki goli khayi thi aur uske pet mein bhayanak dard utha, doctor ne bola pathri ho gayi hai. Aap goli band kariye aur dahi-martha kijiye, jaldi aaram milega aur doctor ko dikha lijiye.
