Can too much tylenol cause liver damage?

I get frequent headaches and often take over-the-counter pain killers for them, sometimes more than the recommended dose. I'm worried about my liver health. Can taking too much paracetamol cause liver damage?

Yes, taking too much Tylenol (paracetamol) is extremely dangerous for the liver. Since I have thyroid and take daily meds, I am very careful with pain relievers. You should get a liver function test (LFT) done if you've been taking it regularly and consult your doctor.

Excess of any chemical medicine harms the temple of our body, especially the liver. Please be gentle with your health and avoid self-medicating. Praying for your well-being, stay positive and consult a doctor for safer alternatives.

Beta, these English medicines are very hot and load the liver if taken daily. For small aches or mild fever, try drinking warm tulsi ginger tea or putting a cold strip on your head. Don't swallow pills like candy, always ask a doctor first.

Yes, an overdose of paracetamol (Tylenol) is one of the most common causes of liver failure. Please stick strictly to the doctor's prescribed dosage and never self-medicate.

Absolutely, high doses of paracetamol can badly affect your liver. I try to use natural tips like applying peppermint oil for mild headaches instead of pills. But if your pain or fever is very high, please see a professional doctor rather than taking multiple tablets.

Yes, paracetamol has a strict daily limit (usually 4 grams for adults) and exceeding this can lead to acute liver injury. It is critical to check other cold medicines as they also contain paracetamol, leading to accidental overdose. Always check with a physician.

I had a terrible phase where I was taking paracetamol daily for chronic headaches without realizing it was harming my liver. When my blood tests came back abnormal, I felt so guilty and scared. Please be careful and let a doctor help you manage your pain safely.

Oh my god, yes, it absolutely can! I once read about paracetamol toxicity and got so anxious that I stopped taking it altogether. If you have accidentally taken too much and feel nauseous or have upper stomach pain, please go to the emergency room immediately.
