Can too much salt damage your liver?

My mother always warns me about using too much salt because it can affect various organs. I was wondering if having a very high salt intake could actually cause damage to my liver over time?

I read that high sodium can cause fluid buildup and strain the liver, which made me so anxious about my daily salt intake. I hope you are okay, please try to eat fresh food and avoid packaged snacks to be safe.

I ignored my poor eating habits and high blood pressure for years, and it ended up affecting my liver and kidney health. Please do not ignore this, get a proper liver function test (LFT) and kidney checkup done before it gets serious.

Too much salt is bad for blood pressure and kidneys, but liver damage is usually linked to fatty liver from sugar, oil, or alcohol. Better to get a basic health checkup done to be sure.

My son was eating a lot of junk food and developed a mild fatty liver. The doctor told us to strictly reduce salt and fried foods, and it worked wonders. Please focus on fresh home-cooked meals for your family.

With our busy schedules, we eat too many salty processed foods which can lead to fatty liver and hypertension. Just stick to home-cooked meals as much as possible and get a routine checkup once a year.
