Can too much ibuprofen cause liver damage?

I often take ibuprofen for my back pain, sometimes more than the recommended dosage if the pain is severe. My wife warned me that taking too much can harm my liver. How much is too much, and can it really cause liver damage?

Bro, popping painkillers like candy is definitely not a good idea. My roommate used to do this for exam headaches and ended up with terrible acidity and stomach burning. Definitely ask a doc before taking these so often.

For mild headaches or body aches, I always prefer drinking warm ginger tea or using a hot water bag instead of taking pills. However, if you are having severe pain or yellowing of the skin and eyes, please don't try home remedies and rush to a doctor immediately.

Beta, these English medicines are very strong and can put pressure on your stomach and internal organs if taken without limits. For mild pain, try putting a little mustard oil and massaging your temples, or drink warm turmeric milk. Always consult a proper doctor for any long-term pain.

I was just reading about this yesterday! Paracetamol is usually the one linked to liver issues in high doses, while NSAIDs like ibuprofen are more associated with kidney and stomach issues. Still, taking any of these regularly without a prescription is super risky.

Listen, ibuprofen is actually more notorious for damaging your stomach lining and kidneys than your liver, but abusing any medicine is dangerous. Stop self-prescribing and go get a proper checkup to find out why you need so many painkillers.
