Can't sleep during pregnancy?

Meri pregnancy ka third trimester chal raha hai, aur mujhe raat mein bilkul neend nahi aati. Karwatein badalte-badalte thak jaati hoon. Kya yeh pregnancy mein common hai?

During my pregnancy, my thyroid levels fluctuated a lot and that was actually causing my severe insomnia. Please make sure you are getting your regular blood tests done as scheduled by your gynaecologist. Hormones play a huge role in sleep, so keeping your doctor updated is very important.

Ah, the classic pregnancy sleep struggle! My wife went through this, and I spent most nights getting kicked or searching for the perfect angle for her pregnancy pillow. Honestly, consider this as nature's training program for the sleepless nights that are coming once the baby arrives!

Finding a comfortable position with that growing belly is so hard. You are definitely not alone in this struggle.

My elder sister is going through this exact same thing right now, she stays up late scrolling on her phone because she just can't get comfy. She finally got one of those massive C-shaped pregnancy pillows and says it made a huge difference for her back support.

If you are struggling to sleep, please monitor your late-night snacks carefully, especially if you are keeping an eye on your sugar levels. A heavy or sweet snack right before bed can cause a sudden spike and crash, which ruins sleep. Try a small, protein-rich snack like a few almonds instead, and always check with your doctor.

I was reading some articles about prenatal health, and apparently, left-side sleeping is highly recommended during pregnancy because it improves blood flow. But does it actually help with the sleep quality, or is it just for the baby's safety? Hope you find some comfort soon.
