Can stress cause spotting in pregnancy?

Being 4 months pregnant, I've been under a lot of work pressure lately. A couple of times, I've noticed very light spotting. Could this be because of the stress I'm feeling?

Having PCOS makes pregnancy journeys very stressful, but any spotting during pregnancy needs immediate medical attention. Please don't assume it is just due to stress; contact your gynecologist right away to be completely safe.

When my wife had light spotting during her first trimester, we got super scared and rushed to the doctor. The doctor said it can sometimes happen, but you should never risk it. Please go see your gynecologist immediately.

I am so sorry you are going through this. I don't know much about pregnancy yet, but is mild spotting normal in the first trimester, or is it always a major medical emergency that requires a hospital visit?

High stress can spike your blood pressure, which is very risky during pregnancy and can cause complications. Spotting is a red flag, so please visit your clinic immediately for a blood pressure check and an obstetric exam.

With our busy work schedules, stress is high, but spotting is a serious sign that you should not ignore for even an hour. Drop everything, take a leave from work, and visit your doctor immediately to get an ultrasound done.
