Can stomach polyps cause weight gain?

I recently had an endoscopy and the doctor found a few stomach polyps. I've also noticed that I've gained some unexplained weight lately. Could these stomach polyps be the reason for my weight gain?

Stomach polyps usually don't cause weight gain directly, but they can affect your digestion. Please consult a gastroenterologist to get a proper diagnosis and see if there are other underlying causes for your weight changes.

My doctor told me that stomach polyps are usually small and don't show symptoms, and they certainly don't trigger weight gain. If you are gaining weight, it might be due to metabolic changes, thyroid, or medication. Get a full checkup done.

Bhai, stomach polyps are just small growths and they don't increase body weight. Maybe there is some other issue with your digestion or thyroid. Go to a good city hospital and show a doctor once, they will guide you well.

My son had stomach polyps removed last year, and they never caused any weight gain; in fact, he was eating less because of mild discomfort. Please consult a pediatrician or general specialist to find the real reason behind the weight gain.

I struggle with weight gain due to PCOS, and hormonal issues are usually the main culprit rather than stomach polyps. However, stomach issues can cause bloating which feels like weight gain. Please do discuss this with your doctor.
