Can steroid injections cause weight gain?

I got a steroid injection in my shoulder for a stubborn pain a few weeks ago. My clothes seem to be fitting a bit tighter, and I feel a bit heavier. Is it possible for steroid injections to cause weight gain?

Oh absolutely! When I got my steroid injection for back pain, my appetite went totally crazy. I was craving sweets and deep-fried snacks all day long! Just watch what you eat and drink lots of water to beat the bloating.

Haan yaar, steroid injection se thoda weight gain aur bloating ho sakti hai. Body me water retention ho jata hai na, isliye thoda bhari lagta hai. Par ghabrao mat, yeh temporary hota hai aur injection ka asar kam hote hi theek ho jata hai.

Since I manage high blood pressure, I had to be very careful with steroid injections as they can cause fluid retention and raise BP. The fluid retention can show up as temporary weight gain. Make sure you monitor your blood pressure and consult your doctor regularly.

Look, simple baat hai. Steroid injections can cause some temporary puffiness and weight gain because of water retention. It is not permanent fat. Don't stop your treatment out of fear; just eat simple ghar ka khana and it will go away.

Yes, steroid shots can lead to temporary water retention and a slight increase in fat storage. I kept my weight in check by doing 30 minutes of brisk walking daily and cutting down on salt. Just check with your doctor before starting any exercise routine post-injection.
