Can sperm affect a pregnancy test?

My partner and I had unprotected sex recently, and I'm planning to take a home pregnancy test. If there's any sperm still present, can it somehow interfere with the test result and give a wrong reading?

No, it doesn't affect the test at all. A pregnancy test only looks for a hormone called hCG in your urine, which sperm doesn't have. Just make sure you take the test first thing in the morning for accurate results.

Bro, absolutely not. The test strip reacts to the pregnancy hormone in your pee, so having intercourse right before doesn't change the test lines or cause a fake positive.

Hey, don't stress too much about this! Sperm has absolutely zero impact on the urine test kit. Just wait a couple of days after your missed period to get a super clear and reliable result.

I totally understand how stressful it is waiting for that test result and overthinking every little detail. But rest assured, semen in your system cannot alter the test kit's chemicals or give a false reading.

Do not worry, dear. The test is very simple and only measures your body's hormones. Just follow the package instructions carefully and use your first morning urine for the best accuracy.
