Can sparkling water cause kidney stones?

I've switched from sugary sodas to sparkling water to be healthier. My friend recently told me that sparkling water can lead to kidney stones. Is there any truth to this or should I not worry?

Actually, normal sparkling water is totally fine, yaar. Just make sure it doesn't have added sodium or artificial mineral mixes, as high sodium can sometimes trigger kidney stones if you don't drink enough plain water.

No, plain sparkling water doesn't directly cause kidney stones. Just stay well hydrated with regular water too, and you will be completely fine.

Plain sparkling water won't cause stones. Only worry if it contains high amounts of added sodium or sugar.

My son had a kidney stone last year, so we researched this thoroughly. Plain carbonated water is safe, but we completely stopped soda and high-sodium drinks for him, and made sure he drinks 3 liters of plain water daily.

Keep your mind peaceful and drink plenty of fresh, pure water. Sparkling water in moderation won't hurt, but simple, natural water is always the best gift you can give your body.

I used to drink sparkling water daily because I hated plain water! My doctor said it's totally fine, but advised me to keep an eye on the sodium content on the label so it doesn't strain my kidneys.
