Can sleeping 6+ hours help mental health?

Feeling quite stressed and a bit down lately, I know my sleep hasn't been great. Someone suggested getting at least 6-7 hours of sleep could really help my mood. Is it true that simply getting 6+ hours of sleep can make a difference for mental health?

Absolutely! If I get less than 6 hours of sleep, I turn into an angry monster by midday. A good 7-8 hours is literally the only thing keeping my family safe from my mood swings!

Rest is essential for calming the mind. Sleeping at least 6-7 hours, combined with 15 minutes of deep breathing before bed, helps quiet the nervous system and brings great emotional peace.

It definitely does. Your brain needs that time to process all the stress of the day. Please don't cut down on your sleep for work, your peace of mind is worth much more than anything else.
