Can skipping breakfast cause weight gain?

I often skip breakfast because I'm in a rush or trying to cut calories, thinking it will help me lose weight. But I heard somewhere that it can actually make you gain weight. Is this true?

Yes, skipping your morning meal can disturb your body's natural rhythm and lead to overeating later in the day. Nourish your body with love and positivity when the sun rises. Listen to your inner system and eat mindfully.

Skipping breakfast to save money or time actually backfires because you end up buying expensive snacks later. A budget-friendly pack of oats or boiled eggs in the morning is much cheaper and healthier than getting a mid-day canteen lunch.

I used to skip breakfast daily to save time, but I ended up gaining 5 kgs because I was ravenous by lunchtime and ate double portions. Since I started having a simple protein breakfast, my weight has stabilized. Skipping meals definitely backfires.

Look, if you skip breakfast and then eat three samosas at midday because you are starving, of course you will gain weight. It's not magic, it's just basic math. Eat a proper high-protein breakfast and stop looking for shortcuts.

Our elders always said that morning food is like medicine for the body. If you skip it, you will feel weak and then eat too much heavy food in the afternoon, which makes you gain weight. Eat a simple home-cooked breakfast daily, beta.

I used to panic thinking skipping breakfast had ruined my metabolism forever when my weight crept up. But don't worry, it is just about total daily calories. Once you manage your portions throughout the day, your body adjusts perfectly fine.

Don't beat yourself up over this. Skipping breakfast itself doesn't automatically make you gain weight, but the intense hunger it causes later makes us make poor food choices. Try prep-planning a simple grab-and-go meal like a banana and some nuts.

In my seventy years, I have seen that those who eat a hearty breakfast and light dinner stay the fittest. Skipping breakfast confuses the body's natural clock and usually leads to heavy eating later. Keep your routine simple and consistent.

I was researching this yesterday and found that some studies show skipping breakfast is linked to higher BMI because of insulin spikes later in the day. It is quite interesting how skipping a meal can actually make you put on weight instead of losing it.

Honestly, same here! I tried skipping breakfast to lose weight, but I got so hungry by 12 PM that I would eat whatever junk was nearby. It is much better to have a small healthy meal in the morning to keep those cravings away.

A healthy digestive fire, or Jatharagni, is strongest in the morning. Skipping breakfast dampens this fire and leads to toxin buildup and weight gain. Try having some warm milk with almonds or a light poha to keep your digestive health aligned.
