Can sibo cause hair loss?

I was recently diagnosed with SIBO (Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth), and since then, I've noticed my hair thinning quite a bit. I'm wondering if there's a link. Can SIBO cause hair loss as one of its symptoms or complications?

In my long life, I have seen that when your digestion is weak, your hair and skin are the first to show it. SIBO prevents your body from absorbing vital nutrients, but don't worry, once you fix your gut, the hair grows back.

Hey, don't stress too much about the hair fall right now. When SIBO messes with your gut bacteria, your body struggles to absorb iron and vitamins, which triggers hair shedding. Focus on healing your tummy first and the rest will fall into place!

It can be very disheartening to see hair fall, but it is a common side effect of gut malabsorption. Please take care of your health and give your body some time to heal.

I absolutely panicked when my hair started thinning during my SIBO flare-up. But my doctor reassured me it is just temporary telogen effluvium due to nutritional deficiencies, and it totally stopped once my gut cleared up.

Gut health affects everything, including your hair strength. Just like I monitor my blood pressure with daily habits, you need to manage your gut health through a proper clinical checkup and dietary changes to stop this issue.

Poor nutrient absorption from SIBO definitely starves your hair follicles. Along with your treatment, try to do light walking daily if your doctor permits, as active blood circulation really helps with both digestion and hair health.

Haan na, stomach issues directly affect our hair, it is so frustrating. When digestion is not proper, how will the body get nutrition? You should get your vitamins checked once.

I just recovered from SIBO two months ago and my hair fall was crazy. Once my doctor put me on the right antibiotics and a low-FODMAP diet, my gut healed and my hair fall stopped almost completely.
